Paris Day 1

It was about a five hour drive to our hotel. We were about a half hour or so away from where everything is in Paris. It was a nice hotel and they had an amazing buffet breakfast each day.

This is the kids bedroom. I have taught them over the years to not use the bedspreads as you really don't know how clean those are. The kids always make themselves right at home!

After we got settled into the hotel Dennis and I went down and asked the lady at the front desk where a good place to eat was. We have been very spoiled in Germany as you can almost always find someone who speaks a little English wherever you go. So we try to get across to this lady if she was going out to eat with her family where would they go. She sends us on our way to a seafood place. They even had a van that came and picked us up at the hotel. The food was AMAZING but the prices were AMAZING as well. The cost of dinner, yes, we did have dessert, was almost what I pay for a week of groceries!!!! Here is a menu and Matt wanted a picture of the fork.

At breakfast Dennis was reading a paper. One of the stories just made us all crack up. I am not sure if you will be able to read the headline so it says "Teaching youngsters to swim lessens the chances of drowning." They even did a new study to prove it. What we were all wondering was who had to do a study to know that and how did they do the study????????

I am finally getting to blogs. The format on your blog is a little wonky. It's probably just our computer. Those French people DO know how to speak English--they just don't like to out of pride. The meals are heavenly.

Wow! What a fun way to spend time together. Paris! You are quite the world travellers. Only a tiny bit jealous!
