It has been a long time since Matt has tried to reason something outrageous with me. Remember the post I did when he was sent home from school for throwing a snowball???? Well last night we got quite a bit of snow. I get him up for school, he sees the snow and says "mom, you might as well just let me stay home because you know I will throw snow and then you will just have to come get me." I wanted to say "Really Matt! You think that is going to work." Instead I calmly told him that if he did get sent home again he would NOT be snowboarding this weekend on our trip. He looked at me with this totally shocked face and said "but mom you said the rule is dumb." I said "no, the rule isn't dumb. What is dumb is that they send you into a field full of snow to play and nothing out there to play with." I also told him that he does have self control and if he wanted to play in the snow this weekend with a snowboard then he better not play in the snow today!!!!!! I do think sending them into a field full of snow is such a stupid idea but wow what my 12 year old can come up with. Needless to say he is going to school and he will be one sad puppy if I have to pick him back up today for throwing snow!!!!

Ha Ha. Those kids think they are so clever. You handled it JUST right! We missed you on Sunday. I hope you all had fun in the snow.
