and the house goes on

Well we went through the first half of the contract signing with the sellers. It turns out it is a two step process. I swear I am going to write a help book for housing in Germany! We went through the contract and agreed on stuff. The notar will write it all up then we will do the actual signing next Monday. The move in date was set for November 15th (big SIGH). If the seller can get into her apartment before then we will all move in early. She was supposed to know this by this meeting but didn't. So I will plan on November and if it happens to be earlier then I will be pleasantly surprised and not disappointed.
