This was a great week for us. We finally got the last piece of paperwork we needed on the house. We signed the beginning of the paperwork with the bank. If all goes as planned we should meet with the notary guy in about week. Hopefully in about four weeks we should be in our house and getting our shipments delivered. We have the house all planned out, okay mostly planned out to where everything is going to go. I don't want us to have to move anything big once the movers deliver it, esp. up or down the stairs. Meagan still has not decided on the color of her room. We did find her (me) a beautiful antique bedroom set. It even comes with a cute vanity table and chair. She just loves it. I can't wait to get in and get it delivered. She has been looking at bedroom sets and trying to decide on colors. It has not been an easy task. I have been oven shopping. The oven in the house is a very small German oven. I had lunch the other day with the owner of the hotel here. I asked her about the oven and she gave me some great ideas and places to look. Now we just hope we can find one that will fit in the current spot. If not that means a redo of the kitchen. It is really easy to do here and not expensive at all but I love the kitchen now so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Dennis has fit right in with the faculty at the school. He even took on senior class adviser. He has great class officers to work with who seem very motivated.
We have made really good friends with another family here in the hotel. The husband is a science teacher as well and just happens to have been assigned the classroom right next to Dennis. To show you how it is such a small world they also came here from Japan. They were living on the base that has all the specialty doctors. We attended a lot of the same activities and functions but never met. We also discovered the other day that the wife and myself were in the emergency room on Superbowl Monday at the same time. She had broke her wrist and I was very sick. We both remember seeing the other there. They have two daughters. One in 8th grade and the other 10th grade. Meagan and their 10th grader McKenna have become really good friends. We will both be moving into our homes about the same time. We are just a little ahead of them in the game so we have been sharing all the information we find out saving them a lot of time. They found a house the next village over from ours so we will be living very close. We all love that and all just want to get in our homes :)

Yea! I'm so excited for you guys. I can't wait to see pics of your new house. I'm also glad to hear you found such a neat family to be friends with already, that ALWAYS helps!
Hey, I recently got in touch with an old friend from H.S. who used to live in Germany. Their kids attend school on a base and she was asking me which base Dennis is teaching at? They just moved to Italy last year and are loving it. Their names are Carrie and Blake Smith. Their 3 kids are not in H.S. yet though. Small world!
