Now I will start with our trip this summer. We flew from Frankfurt Germany through Chicago on to Salt Lake where we arrived some 28 hours later! I do not even remember checking into the hotel. I do remember we sat in the hot tub for a bit to relax before heading up to bed. We started out the next morning on our drive from Salt Lake to Simi. We decided to stop in Lucerne Valley at Dennis' grandmother's house and spend a night there. It broke up the drive and we were able to visit the grave of Dennis' dad and his grandmother. We finally arrived at Dennis' mother's house the next day. We had a great time in Simi catching up with family, visiting with friends, enjoying time in the pool and at the beach. Of course we made sure we hit In N Out as well as Tommys! A tradition in our family.
In Simi we got to meet our newest Nephew Elijah. Very quickly his favorite thing to do was to climb the stairs with Meagan following him, sit on her lap and the two of them would slide down the stairs. He would just crack up. We had a great time getting to know him.
