After visiting with Gary and Sarah we drove on up to Oregon to visit with my parents and my sister. My dad has been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity for several years. The last three years before Daniel graduated he was also able to help out during our stays. This year Matt was hoping he could be he was still too young. My dad would usually work on the sites three days a week. This summer they were inbetween houses and so we got to see a lot more of my dad. It was so good to visit with my parents. They are both getting older and so we treasure every visit. We also got to spend a lot of time with my sister. She is usually very busy with work but had actually take the whole week off to spend the us. We had planned to go shopping and do the usual things we do. The second day we were there she got in a bad accident. Her car was totaled and she ended up with a bad case of whiplash. So much for her week off for fun.
Meagan and Matt with my sister. They wanted my siter's dog Nikki and my parents dog Krystal in the picture but the dogs did not want anything to do with it. It was quite the crack up trying to get the picture. I finally gave up.
This is the kids with my parents. I have taken one just like this since the kids were small. My mom made the comment of how they fit better on the couch with only two kids but she sure didn't like it. It actually made me cry. I had been having a hard time all summer not having the other two kids with us. At least I know I am not the only one :)
One time driving back into my parents place a mother deer and her two babies crossed right in front of the car. They took their sweet time about it so I was able to get the camera out and get a couple shots. We actually saw a lot of deer on this trip.
This is my sister's dog Nikki sleeping on the dog's toy dog. They would actually drag this thing around and play with it. It was such a wonderful visit just way to short.
