My Kitchen Re-do

Before the re-do with a very light colored counter top. The sink was a single sink and very small. My biggest pot hardly fit in it.

After with our new counter top and deep double sink!!!!! We decided mid project to not put the cabinet back up to give me more counter space. I love it!

This project was started a while ago and was put on hold for a week long hospital stay by Dennis, end of the school year stuff and graduation. It is all completed except my bar. This I do have to say would have been done already except I changed my mind and wanted a wider bar. Thank you sweetie. My hubby promised me it will be done before we leave for vacation. Her are some before and after pictures. In looking at the pictures I just realized I do not have a before or after of my stove area. I thought for sure I took them. Oh well here is the pantry and the sink area that started the whole thing. Oh and I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new Polish pottery canisters.

That's Germany for you--no counter space in the kitchen! And I love your Polish pottery. No one who hasn't lived in Europe can fully appreciate a good piece of Polish pottery, I think.

Look great Cathy! if your counters are granite, then I think it is the same granite we have! I love mine! Everything is very pretty!

SWEET! As Niki would say, it is INCREDIBLE! I like it. Can't wait to see it in person. How does Friday sound. Jenna gets out at 2:30 and we could be there by 3 pm.

Looks gorgeous! By the way...funny story for you...remember way back to Japan days??? You invited me to a Creative Memories party. (at least that is what I thought it was...) At the time, being newly married, and no kids, I secretly thought, "how boring is that." Especially since you mentioned the word "journaling." I have always been rebelious about journaling...so I did not go to your party. Sorry. BUT...here's the funny thing...I totally wish that I did. Little did I know that when Jonathan and I would have our first child (3 years after Japan) I would be in a grocery store glancing at a magazine with scrapbook pages in it. I thought, what a great way to document my family...I started to dabble in it a little...then a lot...I designed pages for magazines, and now I have my own line of scrapbooking product. I think I tell everyone about how you invited me to a scrapbook party so many years ago before it was so popular and it has been one of my biggest missed opportunities. I did eventually find my way to the hobby, but I think it's ironic that it could have happened 4 or 5 years sooner.

I hope the Deckers are all doing well. You guys were a great blessing to the branch out at Camp Zama.
