New Years Dinner

I have carried on a tradition my parents started back when I was in junior high. My mom would make home made chicken noodle soup. They would invite all their friends and my mom would cook for hours. I remember the house being full of friends on New Years Day. I have made the noodle soup every year since we moved away. We have often had a house full of friends but this year it was just us. You serve it along with mashed potatoes and fried chicken. My parents also used to serve it with fried rabbit. You put the potatoes on your plate then put the soup over the top. Dennis always puts the potatoes, tears up some fried chicken puts it on top then the soup. It is soooo good. We always look forward to it. This was the first time I have used the dishes Dennis and the kids got me for my birthday before we left Japan. I had been eyeing them for years. When we found out we were moving Dennis got them for me.

Hi Deckers, I saw your blog on Lissa's and just thought I'd say hi! How fun that you are in Europe now! Christmas in Germany is the best. Hope life is treating you all well!
